Purdy shares great suggestions from Montana and Young.

On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. Quarterback Brock Purdy has an opportunity to become the third quarterback in team history to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy, after Joe Montana and Steve Young.

Purdy is taking every cue he can get from the two NFL legends as he strives to accomplish those lofty goals in his first full season as the 49ers starting quarterback.

Just a little conversation with Joe: 'You've got a terrific team around you. Just clearly go through your reads and what [49ers coach] Kyle [Shanahan] is calling.' Pretty basic, really

Have faith in Kyle, " " Reporters in Las Vegas were informed by Purdy on Tuesday. You are under no need to be a famous actor or singer. If you and your teammates just go out and do your jobs well, you should be able to come out on top.

Then I had a conversation with Steve about how important it is to stay grounded in your beliefs and purpose in the NFL, despite all the noise and distractions around you

After that, [Young] addressed the squad, urging them to seize such opportunities when they arise. You must not overlook this.

"There's a lot of players in the NFL that don't get opportunities to go to the Super Bowl and win, so he was like, 'You've got to do what you can as a team when you have this [opportunity] to take it.'

Although he is still relatively early in his career, Purdy's on-field acumen and knack for winning have led many to compare him to Montana and early. And much as Purdy does now, the Hall of Fame quarterbacks have dealt with the ups and downs of the NFL throughout their careers.
