The 49ers' Super Bowl 58 victory will be due in large part to Purdy, according to Bourne.

If the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, second-year quarterback Brock Purdy will most certainly be a major factor in the team's championship celebration.

The 49ers have a ton of skill on offense and defense, but quarterback Cody Purdy is the lynchpin of their strategy to beat the Chiefs.

At Super Bowl Radio Row on Wednesday, Kendrick Bourne, a former 49ers wide receiver, chatted with NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan. While there, Bourne expressed his happiness for his old teammates and spoke about San Francisco's loaded offense.

"Just explosive, man," Bourne informed Maiocco and Chan. Everyone is talking about how many guns there are. Seeing it is thrilling. Brock Purdy is fantastic

it's clear that he has a lot of experience. In my opinion, he will be the game-changer and their savior in that match. Those boys are going to be great.

"Obviously, I am not familiar with Brock. George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk are all people I know, and I'm delighted for them. Seeing him will be thrilling, since the revenge game has arrived.

In San Francisco's 42–42 loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV four years ago, Bourne led the team in receiving yards while playing for the 49ers from 2017–2020.

There are a ton of guys still playing for the 49ers who he played with, and he seems certain that his old squad will win on Sunday.
